Terms of Service

acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the RIVEN platform ("Service"), operated by TRAFFIXORA OÜ, registry code 17543319, registered in Estonia ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use RIVEN. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
RIVEN does not provide services to residents of, or users located in, Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria or Cuba. We refuse access to the site from those countries by IP address, do not open accounts for email addresses registered there, and do not accept cards with a billing country there. A coach application declaring one of those countries is refused, and the same checks are applied again every time a payout is requested. Where a check applies, no account is created and no funds are released.
If you buy on behalf of a club, team, company or other organisation, you contract for that organisation and confirm that you have authority to bind it. Rights that the law gives to consumers apply to consumers only.
accounts & steam authentication
RIVEN uses Steam OpenID for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Steam account. We do not store your Steam credentials. Your RIVEN account is linked to your Steam ID and cannot be transferred.
marketplace transactions
All Rust skin purchases are facilitated through our partner marketplace network. Rust is the only game RIVEN trades in. Prices are held in US dollars and may be displayed in euros (see section 5). RIVEN acts as a facilitator — we do not own the items listed. Each item is bought from a seller at checkout and sent by that seller directly to your Steam trade URL as a trade offer, within at most 7 days. If an item cannot be bought, is not sent in time, or the trade offer expires before you accept it, its price is returned to your RIVEN wallet automatically.
wallet, payments & currency
You pay in the currency you choose. A wallet top-up can be paid in euros (EUR) or US dollars (USD). A euro top-up is charged in euros; a dollar top-up is charged in dollars. A single top-up is between 1 and 20,000 in the currency you picked.
Prices and wallet balances are held in US dollars. When you top up in euros, the amount is credited to your wallet in dollars at the European Central Bank’s euro reference rate for the day of payment (retrieved through the Frankfurter API). RIVEN adds no margin to that rate and earns nothing from it. The exact amount you will be charged, and the amount that will be credited, are both shown before you confirm.
The header carries a currency control offering US dollars and euros, which sets the currency the site reads in. A euro figure shown next to a dollar price is a conversion at the same reference rate and is marked with a “≈”.
Credits purchased by top-up are used to buy items and Academy products on the platform and are not redeemable for cash except where required by law. Separately, when you sell your own items through the platform (see section 6), the proceeds are added to your wallet as a withdrawable balance that you may pay out to yourself, subject to identity verification (KYC). Top-ups are made by card (Visa/Mastercard) through a PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider — though card charging is not switched on for this deployment, so no top-up can currently be taken at all; see section 2 of the Payment Policy. Where a purchase fails, the amount is returned to your wallet automatically — see section 3 of the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
selling your items & seller payouts
Registered users may list their own in-game items for sale through the platform, which acts solely as an intermediary between seller and buyer. When your listed item sells, you receive the sale price less a platform commission of 10%, credited to your wallet; it becomes withdrawable 3 days after the sale, and each payout must be at least $20. To withdraw funds you must complete identity verification (KYC): your full legal name, a valid government-issued identity document (e.g. passport), your residential address, and the bank account (IBAN) the money is sent to. Payouts are made by manual bank transfer only, to an account in the verified holder’s own name — never to a card, PayPal, Wise, a crypto wallet or any other method. Withdrawal requests are reviewed and must be approved before any payout is released. We may request additional documents and may refuse, suspend or reverse a payout where verification is incomplete or where we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering, or a breach of these Terms. The full step-by-step is set out in the Selling & Payout Policy.
academy coaching services
RIVEN Academy sells Rust coaching products (live one-on-one sessions, VOD reviews, courses, and written guides) from independent coaches we approve by hand (see section 8), paid from your wallet balance. This is skill-training instruction, not account boosting, and does not involve a Steam trade or any in-game item.
one-on-one sessions are held in escrow. Booking a published time slot takes the price from your wallet and holds it; the coach is not paid at that point. The coach must confirm the booking within 48 hours of it being made, and in any case before the start time — if they do not, the full price is returned to your wallet automatically. If the coach cancels, you are refunded in full. You may cancel a booking the coach has not yet confirmed, also for a full refund.
Once the session has started you can confirm that it took place, which releases the payment to the coach, or report a problem, which keeps the payment held while our staff review it and either release it to the coach or refund you. If you do neither, the payment is released to the coach automatically 3 days after the scheduled end of the session.
VOD reviews, courses and guides are bought through the cart and paid from your wallet at purchase; the coach’s share is held for 7 days after purchase before it becomes payable to them, so a problem reported in that time can still be refunded.
The coach delivers the session directly with you at the scheduled time using the contact details on your account (your email and/or Steam profile); reviews, courses and guides are delivered as a written report and/or recording sent the same way. RIVEN does not itself host a live call or chat — we are the marketplace connecting you and the coach and holding the payment, not a party to how the session is conducted. Refunds are also described in our Refund Policy.
becoming a coach & coach earnings
Coaching on RIVEN is governed by the separate Coach Terms, which every applicant must accept. Applications are made at /academy/apply, include a government ID and bank details, and are read by a person: there is no automated test. We may approve an application, reject it, or suspend a coach later.
On each coaching sale RIVEN keeps 20% and the remaining 80% is recorded to the coach as an earning once released under section 7. That is a different rate from the 10% commission on item sales in section 6. Coaching earnings are never a RIVEN wallet balance. They are withdrawn by manual bank transfer only, on request from the coach console, and each request is reviewed by a person.
