How RIVEN works
> riven/manifest/route
RIVEN is a marketplace for Rust skins. We do not own the items listed — we aggregate live listings from a partner marketplace network into one catalog, take the order against a prepaid wallet, and deliver through a Steam trade offer. Everything below is the route a real order takes, including the parts that go wrong.
Sign in and set your Steam trade URL
You can sign in with your Steam account, or with a one-time code sent to your email address — email codes are temporarily unavailable while our mail provider is being set up, so use Steam for now (see the FAQ). Skins are delivered by Steam trade offer, so a trade URL is required before checkout — set it under dashboard → account. Checkout tells you if it is missing rather than failing later.
Top up your wallet
RIVEN runs on a prepaid wallet held in US dollar credits, and you pay in the currency you choose: a top-up is charged in euros or US dollars, between 1 and 20,000 whole units. A euro top-up is credited at the European Central Bank reference rate of the day, with no margin. Purchases later draw down that balance — they never trigger a fresh card charge. Top-ups are paused for now, so no new credits can be bought and no card is charged; an existing balance can still be spent. See the FAQ and the payment policy.
Pick a skin
Listings and prices are refreshed from the partner network every hour, and the item page shows each live seller. Checkout re-checks the price on the market and never charges more than you were shown. Prices are held in USD; the currency control in the header can display them in euros instead, marked “≈” because a converted figure moves with the daily rate.
Check out against your balance
Checkout debits your wallet and writes the order and its ledger entry in a single database transaction, so a balance can never be taken without an order behind it. The order appears immediately under dashboard → orders.
Delivery by Steam trade offer
At checkout we buy the item from a seller with a strong record of completed trades, never above the price you paid, and the seller sends it straight to your Steam trade URL as a trade offer. The item page shows that seller's average hand-over time — a track record, not a promise. A seller has at most 7 days. Accept the offer in Steam when it arrives; your inventory must be public and Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator switched on.
If it fails, the money comes back on its own
If an item cannot be bought at checkout, its price goes straight back to your wallet. If the seller does not send it in time, or the trade offer expires before you accept it, the order is checked every 10 minutes and the price is returned to your wallet automatically, with an email. Refunds are credited as wallet balance, not back to a card — the full rule is in the refund & cancellation policy.
Link Steam and a trade URL
Consignment reads your real Steam inventory, so a linked Steam account and a trade URL are both required before the sell page will list anything.
Consign the items you want to sell
You pick items out of your own inventory and set them live on the marketplace.
Get paid, less 10%
When a listed item sells you receive the sale price less a 10% platform commission, credited to your wallet. It becomes withdrawable 3 days after the sale — a different thing from credits you bought, which buy items but are not cashable.
Verify your identity to withdraw
A withdrawal needs identity verification: full legal name, a government-issued ID photo, your residential address and the bank account (IBAN and BIC) you are paid to — payouts are manual bank transfers only. Requests are reviewed and approved before any payout is released. Details in the payment policy.
Coaching sessions, VOD reviews, courses and guides are bought the same way, from the same wallet — but they are digital services, so no Steam item and no trade hold are involved. Live sessions are scheduled with the coach; reviews, courses and guides deliver instantly. Browse them at the Academy.
Questions this page does not answer are probably in the FAQ, and anything else goes to the contact form, which reaches our operations channel directly.
