1.

how payments work

RIVEN, operated by TRAFFIXORA OÜ, registry code 17543319 ("Company", "we", "us"), runs on a prepaid wallet. You top up your wallet balance, then spend it on Rust skins in the marketplace and on Academy coaching — Rust is the only game RIVEN trades in. You pay in the currency you choose: euros (EUR) or US dollars (USD).

A single top-up must be between 1 and 20,000 in the currency you picked — €1 to €20,000 or $1 to $20,000 — in whole units. These are the limits the wallet form and the payment endpoint both enforce; a request outside them is refused rather than adjusted.

2.

accepted methods

Wallet top-ups are made by credit or debit card — Visa and Mastercard only. We do not accept PayPal, bank transfers, cryptocurrency, or any other payment method for top-ups. Skins are always paid from your wallet balance, never charged to your card directly.

Card charging is not live on this deployment. Nothing you enter is ever presented to a card scheme or an acquiring bank, no money leaves your card, and any wallet balance on the platform today was credited without a payment being taken. This section will be rewritten before real charging is switched on.

3.

card processing & security

The top-up form is served by RIVEN itself and would submit to our own server over an encrypted (TLS) connection. It is not an embedded form belonging to somebody else, so anything you typed into it would be sent to us rather than straight to a third party — we would rather say so plainly than imply a perimeter we do not have.

While card charging is off (see section 2) the server refuses the submission outright, before the card details are read out of the request at all. They are not checked, not validated, not stored and not logged, no record of an attempted top-up is created, and nothing is forwarded onward. The details are discarded with the request.

Nothing in our database can be used to charge a card. A stored top-up record holds the amount, the time, your account and a transaction reference — never a card number or a CVV.

4.

when you are charged

Once card charging is live, your card will be charged at the moment you confirm a wallet top-up, and the corresponding credits will appear in your wallet immediately on a successful charge. Purchases made later from your wallet do not trigger a new card charge — they simply draw down your balance. While charging is off, no top-up can be made at all: the form refuses.

5.

failed & declined payments

If a card payment is declined, no credits are added and you are not charged. If a top-up is authorised but the credit is not applied due to a system error, the amount is reconciled to your wallet. A skin that cannot be bought or is not delivered in time is refunded to your wallet automatically — see our Refund Policy for detail.

6.

withdrawals & seller payouts

Users who sell their own items on the platform accrue the proceeds (net of a 10% platform commission) in their wallet; each sale becomes withdrawable 3 days after it is made, and each withdrawal must be at least $20. Withdrawals are requested from your wallet and paid by manual bank transfer only, to a bank account (IBAN) in the verified holder’s own name — never to a card, PayPal, Wise, a crypto wallet or any other method. Credits you buy via card top-up are used to purchase items and are not withdrawable as cash, nor are refunds of failed orders — the withdraw form offers your withdrawable balance, not your whole balance, and a request above it is refused.

Academy coaches are paid separately, under the Coach Terms: RIVEN keeps 20% of each coaching sale, the coach’s earnings are recorded against their coach account rather than credited to a RIVEN wallet, and they are withdrawn by manual bank transfer only, in requests of at least €50, each reviewed by a person.

7.

identity verification (KYC)

Before your first withdrawal is released we verify your identity: full legal name, a government-issued identity document (such as a passport), residential address, and payout details. Verification is reviewed and must be approved. We may apply limits, request further information, and delay or decline payouts to prevent fraud and to comply with applicable law. Payouts are typically processed within a few business days of approval. No payout is released to a resident of Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria or Cuba; that is checked at every request.

8.

currency

You pay in the currency you choose. At top-up you pick euros or US dollars. A euro top-up is charged in euros; a dollar top-up is charged in dollars. The exact amount you will be charged is shown before you confirm.

Prices and wallet balances are held in US dollars. A euro top-up is credited to your wallet in dollars at the European Central Bank’s daily euro reference rate for the day of payment, retrieved through the Frankfurter API. The dollar amount that will be credited is shown next to the euro charge before you confirm. RIVEN adds no margin to the rate and takes nothing from the conversion.

The currency control in the header sets the currency the site reads in. A euro figure shown next to a dollar price is converted at the same reference rate and marked “≈”. If your card is issued in a third currency, your bank may apply its own exchange rate and fees; RIVEN does not control or receive those.

9.

chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first at support@riven.army — we can usually resolve it faster than a card dispute. Initiating a chargeback for a delivered order or spent wallet balance may result in your account being suspended pending review.
