Roof Camping Defense: Holding Your Base Online
You do not need a clan to defend an online raid. You need a handful of angles you can hold and rotate between. Start here.

Defenders lose online raids by panicking, not by being outgunned. You do not need to watch every wall — you need a small set of strong angles you can rotate between while the raiders burn explosives.
For your base, pick exactly three: a roof peek over the most likely raid face, a loot-room hold behind honeycomb, and an external bush or tower you can rotate to for a flank. Pre-place a gun and meds at each. Hold, take a shot, and reposition before they pre-fire your peek — three reliable angles beat trying to watch everywhere at once.
Once those are automatic, add a turret loop. But discipline first — an angle you peek twice from the same spot is an angle that gets you killed.
Defence is also a clock. A raid costs the attacker explosives and time, and every minute they spend not making progress raises the chance they leave. You do not have to win the fight; you have to make it expensive. Repair between volleys, take the cheap shots, and force them to re-throw. Announce nothing in chat and do not bait them with a kill you cannot follow up.
Before the wipe ends, do one dry run: log in, walk your three angles, and time how long it takes you to reach each with a gun in hand. If any of them takes more than a few seconds, it is not one of your angles.
